Daily Question:  Have you ever ridden on a bus?

Toys:  Giant Bus Floor Puzzle and Fisher Price Village (and Bus).

Snacks:  (Double Day!)  Popcorn, blue berries, and fruit snacks, apple slices, Cheese N' Crackers, Raspberry Yogurt Pretzels.  Two children brought in snacks today and so we ate the fresh fruit and popcorn and I saved the rest for the next time.

Recess:

Shapes:  We identified most of the major shapes as they appear on the bus; the door is a rectangle, the windows are squares, the wheels are circles, etc.

Our Class Bus Activity:  We had fun taking turns riding on our very own class bus and singing the song and acting out the movements in the song (after we read and discussed the book).
Books:
The Wheels on the Bus (Raffi Songs to Read) by Raffi and Sylvia Wiskstrom
The Seals on the Bus by Lenny Hort and G. Brian Karas

Song:
The Wheels on the Bus

Coloring Page:  An optional bus coloring sheet was passed out and we traced the Ss on the page.
